In this guide we will cover how to reduce building & research times in Art of conquest. We will learn how to use dragons, city tiles, temple, titles and extra ways to do this.
So, let’s get into it.
1. DRAGONS
Dragons are unlocked at Stronghold 10 and bring a lot of utility to your progress in the game. In this case we will look at using dragon abilities to significantly reduce our building and research times.
Dragons have 3 yellow abilities that can significantly reduce research & building times.
Let’s look at what these abilities do:
1.1. TREASURE HUNTING
- (Eternal Insight) Increases upgrade research speed by 10%.(Unlock at Rank 24 , Dragon level 12).
- (Building Mogul) Increases building construction speed by 10%.(Unlock at Rank 100 , Dragon level 50).
1.2. LOGISTIC ACUMEN
- (Primal Wisdom) Increases upgrade research speed by 5%(Unlock at Rank 24 , Dragon level 12).
- (Ancient Intellect) Increases upgrade research speed by 15% (Unlock at Rank 100 , Dragon level 50).
1.3. AFFLUENCE
- (Building Magnate) Increases building construction speed by 5% (Unlock at Rank 12 , Dragon level 6)
- (Building Mogul) Increases building construction speed by 10% (Unlock at Rank 60 , Dragon level 30).
Now let’s look at how to get these abilities on your dragon:
A. HATCHING
Simply hatching an egg in your lair can yield any of these abilities naturally.
B. LEARNING ABILITIES
Dragon Abilities can be bought using DRAGMA COINS which can be learned by dragons. Now that we know which abilities to get and how to get them.
Simply deploy your dragon in your lair then queue your buildings and research to have significantly reduced times.
PRO TIPS:
- Make sure to always check that your research & building dragon is deployed first in your dragon lair before queueing your research and buildings.
- Pro players make sure to have at least two dragons. One with 3 yellow skills for reducing research & building times and another without yellow abilities for battle.

Here are the Best dragon levels to have for a research and building Dragon:
Dragon level 6 (Affluence only required)
- Increases building construction speed by 5%.
Total = 5% more construction speed.
Dragon level 12 (All 3 yellow skills required)
- Increases building construction speed by 5%.
- Increases upgrade research speed by 10%
- Increases upgrade research speed by 5%
Total = 5% more construction speed & 15% more research speed.
Dragon Level 30 (All 3 yellow skills required)
- Increases building construction speed by 5%.
- Increases building construction speed by 10%.
- Increases upgrade research speed by 5%
- Increases upgrade research speed by 10%
Total = 15% more construction speed & 15% more research speed.
Dragon Level 50 (All 3 yellow skills required)
- Increases building construction speed by 5%.
- Increases building construction speed by 10%.
- Increases building construction speed by 10%.
- Increases upgrade research speed by 5%
- Increases upgrade research speed by 10%
- Increases upgrade research speed by 15%
Total = 25% more construction speed and 30% more research speed.
Now we know what levels to have our research and building time reduction dragon. But don’t queue yet!!!
